We also have vast experience laying almost every kind of natural stone paving, from York stone and Indian sandstone, to granite and slate. Natural stone is often much more riven, and can be perfect for the rustic look.

When picking the right paving for your garden it's essential to take into account the style of your home and garden to ensure you are making a choice that fits in with the rest of your space and doesn't make things feel disjointed. Fencing

When it comes to your choice of fencing, the first thing to think about is whether you're going to go for arris rail and feather edged, or premade panels with slotted posts. Panels are easier to replace so they are a good option if you have children that will be kicking balls against the fence. It's also a good option if you are starting on a budget to begin with as you can install cheaper panels at first, with a view to upgrading in future. Arris rail and feather edge are perfect for steep gradients where the fencing can be custom shaped to suit the lay of the land.

There is also specialist fencing such as acoustic fencing, these panels are typically much taller and layered, and are able to greatly reduce the noise in your garden if you're near a train line or busy road.

Turfing and Artificial Lawn

Old, tired looking lawn can really put a damper on an otherwise spectacular garden. Fresh turf can also transform even the simplest of gardens, bringing new life to the space.

We are able to install both fresh turf and astro turf in your garden. The things to think about before choosing between the two are the times of year you are most likely to use the area and what the area will be used for. If you have children and pets that are constantly tearing up the lawn, it can be tempting to switch over to artificial lawn to keep it looking nice all year round. However, artificial lawn can get extremely hot in the summer rendering the area almost useless for playing. It's perfect if you just want an area to remain green and maintenance free all year round and don't plan on spending too much time lying around on it during the summer months.

Driveways

Driveways are really where form and function meet. It's all too common for a driveway to be slapped down in a rush. With poor base preparation, it‘s only a matter of time until they sink. We pride ourselves on creating beautiful driveways that won‘t drop a millimetre for years to come.

It's often tempting to go with the lowest price quote for a driveway. Unfortunately, the reason many quotes are so low is that little to no prep is done on the base. They look great for a few months, and within the year they look a mess. Before a driveway is laid, the ground must be dug out, properly based, and thoroughly compacted. This phase takes up the majority of the process, while the laying of the blocks themselves can usually be done in a day.

If you have the budget to have a block paving driveway done properly, it transforms the front of your property. But if there are other areas of development that are prioritised in your budget, then a brick bordered gravel drive is a great alternative.
